Doubt - Speed Paint

this piece is certainly nothing short of stunning. There are no in-your-face colours, and the whole piece fits together nicely.
the angle and anatomy of the drawing are near flawless. the face is turned at such an angle, that the second eye is only just visible, yet it's still lined up almost perfectly, and the dimensions of the nose are astounding too. the left upper arm could be seen as being fractionally too long, but that's barely noticeable unless studied thoroughly. The hands are sized up perfectly and are realistically thick, yet long at the same time.
the shading in the face curves it wonderfully, and the slight shading that makes the cheekbones more prominent does not at all go unnoticed.
the hands don't seem to be focussed on quite as much shading wise, but the slight blur makes it both unable to determine and easy to overlook and the viewer is drawn to the dull eyes, which have no highlights or pupils, diving them a depressed lifeless feel.
the floating necklace gives the atmosphere of weightlessness, making the appearance of the fish seem almost natural.
the fish are shaded simply, but not quite lazily, as the warm colours bring a bit of life to the dull palate used beforehand on the character, yet the colours are by no means harmful to the eye.
overall this piece is quite incredible, from the tilted angle to the slight - but still noticeable - style change, it makes you want to lose yourself in the colours and thoughts of what's actually happening to this character.
